Acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the field of seismic data interpretation, as well as practical skills in seismic facies interpretation of seismic data
Course description:
Upon completion of this refresher course, students will gain knowledge of the seismic data interpretation. The course examines in detail the types of boundaries in seismic prospecting, the VSP method, velocity models, methods of building structural maps.
The course attendees will study sequence stratigraphic and seismic stratigraphic approaches to the interpretation and application of attributive analysis. Most of the course is the practice of seismic facies analysis.
Practical part:
- Interpretation of seismic data in a specialized software
- Seismic section analysis
- Seismic facies identification
