Application of global navigation satellite systems (GLONASS / GPS) in geodesy, cartography and navigation
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the field of legal regulation of geodetic and cartographic activities; basic technologies for performing geodetic works by satellite and ground methods; orientation in hardware tools for performing geodetic works, as well as practical skills in performing satellite geodetic measurements, formalizing the results of geodetic works in paper and electronic form.
Course description:
Upon completion of this advanced training course, students will gain knowledge of coordinate systems used in geodesy, the basic principles of global navigation satellite systems.
The course examines in detail the technology of geodetic work based on GNSS, processing of satellite measurements, as well as the use of satellite systems in engineering and geodetic surveys, cartographic and cadastral works, construction of buildings and structures.
Practical part:
- Working with GPS / GLONASS receivers, building geodetic networks
- Location survey; surveying work
- Processing and analysis of the satellite measurements quality
