Technologies for the extraction of oil from reservoirs with hard-to-recover reserves
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the field of oil production technology from reservoirs with hard-to-recover reserves
Course description:
Upon completion of this advanced training course, students will gain knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the technology of oil production from reservoirs with hard-to-recover reserves.
The course examines in detail modern techniques for oil production from tight reservoirs, improving the energy efficiency of equipment for oil production, methods of field development, operating modes of the field and development systems.
During lectures and practical classes, students will study tertiary methods of enhanced oil recovery, physical-hydrodynamical, physicochemical, thermal methods of enhanced oil recovery, as well as get acquainted with the processes of optimizing the operation of hydraulic fracturing wells, acidizing, sidetracks drilling, designing multilateral wells, hydromechanical perforation etc.
Practical part:
- Visiting hard-to-recover reserves laboratories
