Director of the Department for External Relations visited IGPT

Olga Vershinina, Director of the Department for External Relations of Kazan Federal University, paid a visit to  the   Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies and met with the authorities of the Institute.  Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of IGPT and the Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing and  Mikhail Varfolomeyev, the head of the Department of Development and Operation of Hard-to-Recover Hydrocarbon Reservoir,  took part in the discussion  on international activities of the institute.

The topics  discussed included large-scale projects provided  by IGPT in Cuba: advanced training of Cupet specialists provided  by the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing and   professional retraining   program “Petroleum Engineering” for the employees of the company that are expected to  be implemented together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

“Export of educational services is one of the important activities of KFU as a participant of  the priority project “Development of the export potential of the Russian education system ”. Over the last two years the University has proven to be one of the leaders in providing education for international students ( more than 7,000 international  students study at KFU). At this stage, we look forward to further improving  educational services,  including Master’s degree  program and programs of additional professional education, in order   to attract talented students from abroad, ”said Olga Anatolyevna.

In addition, the plans for 2019 were considered, such as: signing an agreement  on the cooperation  between KFU and the leading   ONGS  oil and gas corporation in India, cooperation on staff training   for  oil and gas companies from China, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Latin American  countries.
