Acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the field of horizontal well drilling and geosteering, as well as practical skills in logging while drilling interpretation and geological modeling for geosteering
Course description:
Upon completion of this advanced training course, students will gain knowledge of horizontal well drilling technologies, the use of drilling fluids in horizontal drilling.
The course covers all aspects of the geosteering process in detail. Students of the course will study in detail the features of telemetry, gain practical skills in interpreting logging while drilling, and also consider the use of geological modeling for geosteering.
Practical part:
- Well geometry calculations
- Well position design in Petrel software
