Course description:

As part of this advanced training course, students will study the mathematical foundations of machine learning, general concepts of neural networks, consider in detail the solutions of practical geological problems using neural networks, in particular, aspects such as setting a geological problem for neural networks, the basics of working with the R package, building neural networks.

The course covers the use of different varieties of neural networks, as well as alternative methods of machine learning. Part of this course is devoted to the experience of using neural networks for solving geological problems at Kazan Federal University.

Practical part:

  • The basics of working with the R package. Building neural networks, working with a perceptron
  • Solution of practical geological problems using neural networks
