Specialists of Rosneft’s subsidiary trained at Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing

Specialists of Rosneft’s subsidiary have completed their training under the “Fracture Modeling” advanced training program provided by the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing, IGPT, KFU. Within five days, employees of Rosneft NTC LLC and RN-BashNIPIneft LLC have been improving their skills in the field of fractured reservoirs and methods for fractures identification, as well as improved their practical skills in fractured reservoir simulation.

As part of the practical and lecture classes, the course attendees learned about methods for studying carbonate rocks. Leading lecturers of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies provided lectures on lithological methods for studying oil-bearing carbonate rocks using core material, core studies using computed tomography, downhole methods for studying carbonate reservoirs, the basics of geomechanical modeling, seismic methods for fracturing prediction and assessment. Fracture modeling exercises were held using software products at 3D GEO Center.

The course attendees shared their impressions in the satisfaction profiles:

“Good technical equipment, most of the lecturers provided valuable information. The organizational part is at the highest level!”;

“An interesting and rich program. I really liked the laboratory tests”;

“Very well equipped laboratories and classrooms!”

“Next week our Center will hold a course named “Theoretical Foundations and Practice of Drilling Fluid Parameters Measurement using API System”. The course will be provided in Izhevsk for a group of Drilling Systems LLC employees. In the next few days we will also start a special course for the employees of the Tyumen Oil Research Center of PJSC Rosneft Oil Company named “Petrography of igneous and metamorphic rocks” said Ildus Chukmarov, Director of CATQMM.
