CATQMM at the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum
The 9th specialized exhibition GEO-KAZAN started in one of the pavilions of the Kazan Fair in the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum: Geological exploration. Geodesy. Cartography ”and the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference“ Actual Issues of Geodesy and GIS”. The Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, together with the Department of Astronomy and Space Geodesy of the Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University, have been participating in the organization of the conference since its inception. In total, three international exhibitions and five conferences are held within the framework of the forum.
This year, the plenary meeting of the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Issues of Geodesy and Geoinformation Systems” was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research of Kazan Federal University, Director of IGPT Danis Nurgaliev.
“Today the word“ digitalization ”sounds in all areas, and given the scale of our country, maps is the basis of this digitalization, so our activities that we will discuss during the conference are included in almost all national projects and, from the point of view of national importance, the conference is very interesting and promising,” said Danis Karlovich.
Renat Zagretdinov, Associate Professor of the Department of Astronomy and Space Geodesy, and Ildus Chukmarov, Director of Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of IGPT KFU, were among the organizers of the very first exhibition “GEO-KAZAN” – 2011. And in 2013 during the third exhibition, there was signed a cooperation agreement between KFU and Trimble. Signing ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The second day of the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Issues of Geodesy and Geoinformation Systems” dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of I.M.Simonov will be held at Kazan Federal University. Participants will visit the Museum of History of Kazan University, the Department of Astronomy and Space Geodesy, the Astronomical Observatory, as well as the Astronomical Observatory named after V.P. Engelhardt, where will take place a demonstration of geodetic equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles used to solve the tasks of the cadastre, surveys and urban planning.
“The Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum has established itself as one of the largest events for expanding and strengthening business cooperation in the oil and gas industry. This year, 180 industry companies from thirty regions of Russia and 23 countries of near and far abroad presented their expositions in the pavilions of the forum. For us, this is a great opportunity to represent ourselves, meet new partners and customers, and also learn about new trends. Such meetings always bear fruit. Today’s awarding of professional retraining diploma to one of the CATQMM ‘s students who decided to start his study at KFU after the exhibition in 2017 became very symbolic,” said Ildus Chukmarov, who held several meetings with representatives of industry companies.
“I would like to thank the employees of KFU for organizing the training. The training took place remotely, however, despite this it contained a lot of interactivity: video lectures, video lessons, presentations. Very accessible and interesting. Being myself a teacher at Smolensk State University, I want to say that such a presentation of knowledge very well illustrates the material and simplifies the perception of complex topics,”said Dmitry Kovalev, a graduate of the CATQMM, about his studies at Kazan Federal University.
The forum is also a meeting place for old friends and partners. So at the round table of the stand of NPF “Packer”, a long-time partner of KFU, the director of the enterprise Marat Nagumanov, Danis Nurgaliev and Ildus Chukmarov discussed further joint projects.
Meetings with representatives of the following companies were also held within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum: PJSC Tatneft, PJSC Transneft, JSC Ritek, Trimble, PA Belorusneft and others.
