Its goal is to teach students how to independently reconstruct and model the geological media of oil and gas basins.

The graduates of the program are Konstantin Nikashin and Elza Sirazhieva studied in Russia (IGPT KFU) for the first year, and in Germany (Freiberg Mining Academy) for the second year.

The diplomas were awarded in a hybrid format: the graduates were present in the assembly hall, and the representatives of the Freiberg Mining Academy – Professor Jörg Schneider (Jörg W. “Thank you all for this unforgettable, interesting and at the same time challenging experience. None of this would have been possible without our teachers. I sincerely hope that I will be able to visit Germany again!” said Elza Sirazhieva.

“The Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU implements three double-degree master’s programs together with the Imperial College London (Great Britain, Petroleum Engineering), the Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany), the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP), says Deputy Director on Marketing, Director of the Center Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) Ildus Chukmarov. Graduates of these programs are becoming sought-after specialists in Russian and international companies. СdoGEO provides assistance to students wishing to enroll in a double-degree Master’s program by implementing a professional retraining course Translator in the field of geology and petroleum technologies. This program is aimed at improving the knowledge of the English language. Students are taught by native speakers and professional translators. It is possible to undergo professional retraining in simultaneously with the main education program.
