The delegation of IGPT KFU visits the University of Innopolis
The delegation of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University headed by the Vice-Rector for Petroleum Technologies, Environmental Management, and Earth Sciences, Danis Nurgaliev, visited the satellite city of Kazan, Innopolis.
The delegation also included: Deputy Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies for Marketing, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management, and Marketing (CdoGEO) Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies for Innovation Vladislav Sudakov, Senior Researcher of the Methods of Enhanced Oil Recovery Research Laboratory at the Oil Recovery Research and Educational Center Rail Kadyrov, Junior Researcher of the Research Laboratory “Carbon Dioxide Utilization in Underground Natural Reservoirs” Airat Yarullin, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematical Methods in Geology Timur Zakirov.
The purpose of the visit was to meet with representatives of Innopolis University, including Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov, Director of Innopolis University Kirill Semenikhin, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Institute Ramil Kuleev, and others.
During the meeting, Danis Nurgaliev introduced his colleagues to the developments and scientific-technical potential of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University.
“We discussed projects for the development of software for the oil and gas industry, as well as the development and production of reagents to enhance oil recovery, hydraulic fracturing (fracking), and the creation and implementation of courses for additional professional education in the field of hydrocarbon exploration, prospecting, and production,” emphasized Danis Nurgaliev.
Representatives of Innopolis University represented their research, noting the need to combine efforts to achieve even more successful results.
“Colleagues showed interest in additional education, especially in international projects,” says Ildus Chukmarov. “We proposed joint development and implementation of courses in a network format for countries where there are representations of Tatarstan.”
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate on mutually beneficial directions, with a high potential for such cooperation. The parties scheduled the next meeting to be held at the premises of Kazan Federal University with a discussion of specific joint projects.
