CdoGEO has developed an advanced training program for JV Jizzakh Petroleum LLC

On August 30, Azizbek Nazarov, General Director of GEO RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LLC visited the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the selection of technologies for the production of high-viscosity oil in the field of Uzbekistan.

After a meeting with Vice-Rector for Petroleum Technologies, Environmental Management and Earth Sciences, Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University Danis Nurgaliev and Head of the Department of Hard-To-Recover Hydrocarbons Development and Operation Mikhail Varfolomeev, Azizbek Nazarov spoke with the Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO ) IGPT KFU Ildus Chukmarov. They hold a discussion about a new professional development program “Topical Issues of Oil and Gas Fields” developed by CdoGEO in accordance with the request of Jizzakh Petroleum JV LLC. This course contains four modules: oil and gas fields management, field geophysics; development of oil and gas fields and well operation; well logging; fundamentals of oil and gas geology and reservoir physics, field geology, geology and geochemistry of oil and gas. The total duration of the course is 162 hours. Upon successful completion of the training, students will receive a Certificate of Advanced Training of the established KFU standard.

“We have been working with Kazan Federal University for about six months in an important area – the technology of heavy oil production,” says Azizbek Nazarov. IGPT specialists help us with the selection of effective methods, for example, we consider in-situ combustion technologies, cyclic steam stimulation, etc. Now we are considering new strategic areas with KFU in the field of iron ore deposits. We are pleased to work with this institution in the field of science and education. So, at CdoGEO, our young specialists will undergo training in an important area and improve their qualifications according to the KFU standard”.

“This spring, the KFU delegation paid a working visit to Uzbekistan, where it held a number of fruitful meetings,” says Ildus Chukmarov. The result of the trip was an agreement on the development of cooperation between CdoGEO and Jizzakh Petroleum JV LLC on the training of their specialists. At the request of the company, we have developed a training program “Topical Issues of Oil and Gas Fields”, which will be implemented in 2021”.

It should be noted that on August 30, it was published a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the establishment of a KFU branch in the city of Jizzak. The educational institution will train highly qualified personnel in such areas of undergraduate and graduate programs as geology, software engineering, economics, mechanical engineering, general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and medical biochemistry in accordance with international requirements for the quality of higher education.
