The interpretation of seismic data was studied at IGPT

The ceremony of delivery of diplomas on advanced training on the program “Interpretation of seismic exploration” took place in  the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of  the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies at KFU.

The participants of the program were the  specialists of  “Tatneft”,  “NOVATEK”, “ Actual Technologies” and  “SNIIGGiMS” companies from Kazan, Novosibirsk, Samara and Tyumen. During the training, they examined sequential stratigraphic and seismostratigraphic interpretations, attributive analysis, AVO analysis, and seismic inversion. Practical classes involved  interpretation of 3D seismic data: loading of initial data, seismic stratigraphic reference, trace of reflections, constructing a velocity model and  structural maps, as well as the use of seismic attributes when interpreting and including  seismic data into a geological model.

The participants highly appreciated the services, modern equipment of the classrooms,  as well as  the quality of teaching and the skills of university teachers.

Another professional retraining program “Geophysics: Seismic exploration” was successfully completed by the specialists of TNG-Lenskoye company. The training included both part-time  and distance learning mode of study; residential sessions were held  in the Center of IGPT.
