Institute employee featured at China Education Expo in Guangzhou and Beijing
International Cooperation Officer Yury Nurmeev was among those on a visit to the People’s Republic of China from 25 October till 4 November. They represented the university at various exhibitions and presentations, as well as visited local schools and universities.
A traveling educational exhibition of Russian universities was opened in Shandong Province. KFU was presented there by Inga Nazarova, Head of the International Admissions. The exhibition was located in the national SCO Pearl center.
Later, members of the delegation of Russian universities presented their activities at the private educational school Tianli in Shandong. They also got acquainted with the internal organization of the school, educational grounds, accommodation and catering facilities for students.
The series of presentations preceded the China Education Expo, a large-scale international education exhibition. Olga Vershinina, Director of the International Office, and Yury Nurmeev, International Cooperation Officer of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, took part in the exhibition in Guangzhou on 26 October. Along with representatives of other universities in Europe, Asia and Australia, they told about the programs and rules of admission to KFU.
“We held a meeting with the educational company Five Idea Chinese. They told us about the company’s work and demonstrated the educational process, as well as told us about what educational programs in online and offline formats the company offers,” said Yury Nurmeev.
The visit of Kazan University representatives to Guangzhou continued with a tour the Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology. The guests went to the campuses in Baiyun and Huizhou and the experimental schools of the institute in Zengcheng. During the visit, KFU employees were accompanied by Liang Xuehong, Dean of the School of International Education at GZIST.
The delegation also went to Guangzhou College of Technology and Business in Sanshui, Foshan. The Kazanites discussed an upcoming signing of a preparatory course agreement at ROSTKI Russia-China Forum in Kazan on 13-15 November.
In Hangzhou, Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev spoke with Vice-President of Zhejiang University Zhou Jianghong; the sides discussed an upcoming handover of 232 albums of Chinese paintings to KFU. In Chengdu, a meeting was held with Vice-President of the University of Electronic Science and Technology Luo Guangchun. A preparatory school of Russian language will be opened here.
Dean of KFU’s Preparatory School Airat Mukhametov and Vice-Dean Rauf Sabirov visited Huan’e School of Shandong and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Both organizations host preparatory courses of Russian language.
On 1 and 2 November, Inga Nazarova, Yury Nurmeev and Olga Vershinina represented KFU at China Education Expo in Beijing.
