Practical course in integrated modeling held by international expert
From July 22 to 26, 2024, CdoGEO conducted an advanced training program, Practical Course on Integrated Modeling. The course participants were employees of Sakhalin Energy LLC. Distance learning on the program was conducted by an international North Sea expert, a senior process engineer of an overseas company.
“We looked at the different parts of the oil and gas production system from the reservoir to the separator and how these different parts affect oil and gas production. We looked at well models and reservoir models, specifically the matbalance method, ending with the design of the overall network and understanding how that affects hydrocarbon production. That is, how the different components of the overall network affect production and how this can be modeled in the program,” the instructor emphasized.
The trainees were satisfied with the organization of the training and the content of the program.
“The training was at the highest level, there was always feedback from the instructor and live communication. For 5 days we had time to cover the most necessary sections of integrated modeling and practice in a specialized program,” said one of the trainees.
“I express my great gratitude to our international expert,” noted Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of Marketing, Director of the Center for Additional Education, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO). “We always try to attract the best teachers and experts to implement our courses. It is not for nothing that our motto is We unite everyone’s capabilities for each one’s success! And this applies not only to people, but also to companies. The Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies fruitfully cooperates with RFD, which provides academic licenses for student training. We have purchased licenses to solve production tasks, and we hope to expand our cooperation.”
