SinopecCorp has taken interest in KFU petrochemists projects
In September, representatives of the Chinese oil corporation SinopecCorp visited Kazan Federal University. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospects of a joint collaboration with KFU scientists and derive some advanced technologies.
The head of the delegation, Hu Wenge, SinopecCorp Deputy General Director, expressed hope that becoming a KFU partner would help them to find a solution to the challenges having arisen.
He told that today SinopecCorp’s technological problems are indissolubly tied to the production of high-viscosity oil. “We have considerably increased our potential in terms of processing and developing oil deposits. Moreover, we are among the top global corporations. I think that having strengthened our business contacts, we will take a step towards great development, ”said Hu Wenge.
At the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU, representatives of the priority ‘Econeft’ research area told the visiting colleagues about the main directions of the university’s developments, in particular ones that make a significant contribution to the oil and gas sector. It is worth noting that the developments of Econeft has already become very popular among oil refineries all over Russia and are rapidly declaring themselves abroad.
Educational programs offered by the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU have become an equally relevant topic for the guests. Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director for Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU and Director of the Center made a presentation of the Center and emphasized that to work in the high-tech sector it is necessary to constantly use the most modern educational trends.
“We have been developing our friendly contacts with the Chinese company SinopecCorp for several years. As part of a federal project for the training of engineering personnel, we sent representatives of the Russian company TNG to China for an internship. This project has been successfully implemented. Today, we want to give rise to our cooperation, as well as offer ten advanced training programs for the managers and specialists of the Chinese company. In addition, we propose not only mastering our programs, but also creating joint advanced training courses, as well as arranging internships for Russian oil and gas refineries, ”shared Ildus Chukmarov .
