CdoGEO KFU has started a new full-time academic year

On August 23, the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University started the following advanced training programs: “Basic types of core analysis”, “Carbonate reservoirs: genesis, secondary alterations, methods of study” and “Calculation of oil and gas reserves”.

The training is carried out in a hybrid form: most of the trainees take courses remotely, 11 people have full-time training. Employees of the Engineering School of Natural Resources of SI TPU, RN-BashNIPIneft, LLC Ufa Scientific and Technical Center PJSC Tatneft, LLC LUKOIL-Western Siberia, LLC Lukoil-Engineering, LLC Tyumen Petroleum Research Center” became the listeners of the advanced training courses.

Lectures and practical exercises for students are conducted by Head of the Department of Mineralogy and Lithology of IGPT KFU Vladimir Morozov, Head of the Department of General Geology and Hydrogeology Eduard Korolev , Head of the Sample Preparation Laboratory of IGPT KFU Oleg Andrushkevich, Associate Professor of the Department of Mineralogy and Lithology Anton Kolchugin, Senior Lecturer of the. Department of Oil and Gas Geology named after Academician A.A. Trofimuk of IGPT KFU Svetlana Valeeva, Senior Lecturer, Department of Hard-To-Recover Hydrocarbons Development and Operation of IGPT KFU Boris Platov, Research Engineer of the GeoLab Research Center Bulat Gareev.

According to the “Calculation of oil and gas reserves” training program, classes will be conducted by an invited  expert of State Commission on Mineral Resources, Director for Geological Exploration of LLC “PETROGEKO” Alexander Sokolov.

“CdoGEO KFU has started a new full-time academic year, distance programs are being implemented 365 days a year, 24/7,” says Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of IGPT KFU, Director of the Director of Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO). We have a tradition of updating 50% of the programs a year. In 2020, we became a world-class scientific center and expanded the list of our courses by adding such relevant FVE programs as “Reservoir simulation modeling to optimize the field development system, increase oil recovery and reduce costs”, “Studies of carbonate reservoirs: sedimentology and secondary changes” and another 6 programs which are in great demand. I should note that here at CdoGEO we strive to apply individual approach to each student, and after completing the training we try to maintain cooperation. As a gift for the Day of Knowledge, we presented the attendees with a “General Geology” multimedia educational resource  opengeo.kpfu.ru, which will be useful to their children and loved ones. “
