Specialists of the Samara Technical University improve their qualifications at CdoGEO KFU under the program “Topical Issues of Geological Modeling”
On March 13, at the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University, the training began under the following advanced training programs: “Topical Issues of Geological Modeling” and “X-Ray Diffractometry of Rocks”.
The course is participated by the specialists from the Samara State Technical University and OOO RN-BashNIPIneft.
In the course of training under the program “Topical Issues of Geological Modeling”, course participants will learn the basics of well logging data interpretation, seismic survey data interpretation, geological modeling, and applied geostatistics. Within the framework of the “X-ray Diffractometry of Rocks” program, course participants will study the theory of X-ray analysis, preparation methods, qualitative and qualitative X-ray analysis. The lessons are conducted by Vladimir Morozov, Head of the Department of Mineralogy and Lithology, Institute of Geological and Petroleum Technologies, KFU.
“CdoGEO is located at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, the working place of such great scientists as Nikolai Alekseevich Golovkinsky, who discovered the facies correlation law in 1868. The Golovkinsky’s Law formed the basis of many software products that geologists use nowadays,” says Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of IGPT for Marketing, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO). It is gratifying that the students were able to come to Kazan and be trained full-time. We will be able to show laboratories that have world-class equipment in geochemistry, geomechanics, geology, etc. Listeners will be treated to national pastries and guided tours of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, the Museum of the History of Kazan University and the Geological Museum named after A.A. Shtukenberg. We invite everyone to study under the programs of the World-Class Science Center and Priority 2030. Every year the list of CdoGEO courses is updated with new programs.
