The IGPT KFU team took the 2nd place at the PetroCup World Student Olympiad
On April 20-21, the World Student Olympiad PetroCup | League of Northern Eurasia was held in Kazan. The following teams from different cities of Russia came to compete for the title of the best PetroCup student team: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Tomsk, Samara, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, etc. The Kazan Federal University team was represented by students from the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, which included representatives of KFU SPE Student Chapter.
The technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park” became the scene of exciting battles between teams of students from leading oil & gas universities.
The main goal of the Olympiad is to bring the programs and methods of higher sectoral professional education closer to the demands of the labor market and the requirements of employers based on the approved and tested standards of the PetroCup simulator.
Participation in the Olympiad gives an opportunity for students, future specialists to demonstrate their knowledge and competencies, and for companies to check whether this knowledge corresponds to the tasks and challenges they face, as well as to communicate with the students and invite them to work.
