Zarubezhneft employees started distance learning at Kazan Federal University

Nine managers and specialists of Zarubezhneft JSC started training at the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University under the continuing education program.

KFU and VNIIR fruitfully cooperate in the field of advanced training for managers and specialists of leading oil and gas companies. To date, the products of joint work are four continuing education programs.

Center and VNIIR successfully trained 42 managers and specialists of the metrological service of Gazprom Neft PJSC, and previously improved their qualifications, as well as conducted an internship at FSUE VNIIR and at RMG enterprises (Butzbach, Germany), B&R (Shpayer, Germany) 38 employees of PJSC TATNEFT and PJSC ANK Bashneft (a subsidiary of PJSC NK Rosneft).

“Our Center, together with VNIIR, has been successfully implementing programs of additional professional education in the field of metrology for several years,” said Ildus Chukmarov, director of the Center, during the introductory webinar, which was held jointly with the honorary metrologist Joseph Fishman and head of department of FSUE VNIIR Alexander Kondakov.

The successful implementation of continuing education programs is undoubtedly facilitated by the basic department of metrology and means of measuring oil and gas consumption, which was established at the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU and VNIIR, which makes it possible to use the Russian standard base in the field of liquid and gas flow metering in practical exercises on calibration and calibration of measuring instruments, involve leading scientists and specialists of Rosstandart in the educational process.

“I would like to note that Zarubezhneft JSC, despite the self-isolation regime, is studying for the second time in our Center in an online format. From April 20-24, 13 employees of the company improved their qualifications under the program “Extraction of super-viscous oils”. It is gratifying that, being both our customer and partner, the company continues to successfully cooperate in the given conditions. We have several more joint projects ahead, ”said Ildus Adgamovich.

The introductory lecture ended with a webinar from Joseph Izrailovich and Alexander Viktorovich on the topics “Organization of reliable oil metering, metrological support for oil mass measurements. Features of the application of regulatory documents ”and“ Introduction to metrological support of capacity measures ”

The program “Verification and calibration of reservoirs, tanks of bulk vessels and pipelines” acquaints students with the current state of the legislative regulatory, information and metrological base in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, as well as with the features of metrological support of stationary and transport capacity measures.

Zarubezhneft’s employees will examine in detail the features of verification (calibration) of vertical as well as horizontal steel cylindrical tanks in accordance with GOST 8.570-2000, verification (calibration) of tanks of bulk vessels, calibration of process pipelines, and will familiarize themselves with the software for verification (calibration) of capacity measures.

In addition, students of Zarubezhneft JSC will take an online course within one month, posted on the KFU remote site.
