Head of department of JSC “Rosgeologiya” got acquainted with the possibilities of KFU
Kazan Federal University was visited by Oleg Korchagin, Director of the Department of Geology of Hydrocarbon Raw Materials of the largest Russian geological holding JSC Rosgeologia. The guest got acquainted in detail with the laboratories of the Institute of Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, the unique instruments and developments of university scientists, as well as the capabilities of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing.
“I arrived at Kazan Federal University with the aim of familiarizing myself with the instrumentation and analytical framework and working methods in order to understand how applicable they are in the field that Rosgeology is engaged in. I was impressed, did not expect to see such a variety of modern equipment, techniques and their application by specialists who are developing their field, moving away from standard solutions that exist as an application to the instrument base. I saw that the leadership of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies was able to focus a large number of new modern instruments. In addition, there is interest on our part in the field of training company employees on continuing education programs,” – Oleg Korchagin shared.
JSC “Rosgeology” is a Russian multidisciplinary geological holding company that provides a full range of services related to geological exploration, in particular, in the field of marine geology and offshore work. Holding enterprises operate in all eight federal districts of Russia.
Recall that earlier, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between KFU and Rosgeology, which provides for the joint solution of the tasks of providing a comprehensive geological study of the subsoil, the reproduction of the mineral resource base in terms of creating optimal conditions for the search, exploration and integrated development of mineral deposits based on advanced geological, geophysical and geochemical technologies.
“Rosgeology is the largest operator in the field of research – both state orders and orders of Russian oil companies. The holding, on the one hand, is young, and on the other has a rich history, because it was created on the basis of one of the oldest exploration enterprises in Russia, “Centergeology”, by combining all industry research institutes and government expeditions. During the meeting, we were able to discuss the possibility of joint work for Russian and foreign companies”, – said Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Research at KFU.
