A Knowledge Day Ceremony took place at IGPT

Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University hosted a Knowledge Day Ceremony.

220 first-year students received student ID cards, got acquainted with their fellow students, the directorate and the teaching staff of IGPT.  Danis Nurgaliyev, the Vice-rector for Research of  KFU and the Director of IGPT, greeted the students  and congratulated  them on the admission to Kazan  University, one of the  ten top   universities in Russia. He told that training at the university  will help them to gain knowledge and competencies  to become successful and happy people. Kazan Federal University has enormous opportunities for development in various fields, these being unique libraries, laboratories, the best teachers, a huge number of sports facilities and creative teams.

Ildus Chukmarov, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing , noted that the Institute provide  a great  number of additional programs that allow future graduates to increase their competitiveness on the world  market: “You can prepare for international language exams and master a new profession in parallel with basic education, as well as get vocational professions. ”

Andrei Teryokhin, Deputy Director for Practices and Cooperation with Employers, told about  annual  meetings  of the students with potential employers, representatives of  the leading oil and gas companies who  select students for internship, as well as internships with further employment.
