A new professional development program was launched at CdoGEO IGPT KFU within the framework of the WCRC
On October 25, the training began at the Center for Advanced, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University for students on the advanced training programs “Hydrate Technologies for Transportation and Storage of Hydrocarbons and Separation of Gas Mixtures” and “Topical Issues of Geological Modeling”. The course is attended by employees of OOO LUKOIL-Engineering, OOO LUKOIL-Western Siberia, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy), Gazprom Nedra LLC and specialists from Uzbekistan.
The program “Hydrate Technologies for Transportation and Storage of Hydrocarbons and Separation of Gas Mixtures” is being held within the framework of the seminar of the World-Class Research Center. It should be reminded that, in 2020 Kazan Federal University became the parent organization of the World-Class Research Center (WCRC) “Rational Development of the Planet’s Liquid Hydrocarbon Reserves.”
The lecturers on the course “Hydrate technologies for the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons and the separation of gas mixtures” are as employees of KFU, a senior researcher at the Butlerov Institute of Chemistry Roman Pavelyev, Research Assistant, Butlerov Institute of Chemistry Yulia Zaripova, Head of the Department of Department of Hard-To-Recover Hydrocarbons Development and Operation, IGPT Mikhail Varfolomeev, and invited experts: Associate Professor of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Evgeny Chuvilin, Head of the Laboratory of Clathrate Compounds at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry named after V.I. Nikolaev Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Manakov, Associate Professor of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas Anton Semenov, lecturer at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Boris Bukhanov, lecturer at the Earth Cryosphere Institute of the Tyumen Scientific Center of the SB RAS Nadezhda Molokitina, associate professor at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after Alekseev Anton Petukhov, lecturer at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas Andrey Stoporev, professor of the Higher National School of Advanced Technologies of France Didier Dalmazzone.
The lecturer for the program “Topical issues of geological modeling” is Boris Platov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Hard-To-Recover Hydrocarbons Development and Operation at IGPT.
“It’s nice to see again among our listeners residents of such remote parts of Russia as Sakhalin Island,” says Ildus Chukmarov, Deputy Director of IGPT KFU, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO).
– Oil and gas company Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy) is developing the Piltun-Astokhskoye and Lunskoye fields on the northeastern shelf of Sakhalin Island. The company’s areas include the production, transportation, refining and marketing of oil and natural gas. Previously, we trained their employees in the Petrophysics and Geophysics in Petroleum Geology program. This week, all students undergo distance learning. This format can be convenient if there is no opportunity to come to Kazan. And we always meet our customers halfway and organize courses in a format convenient for them.”
