The IGPT KFU team took the 2nd place at the PetroCup World Student Olympiad

On April 20-21, the World Student Olympiad PetroCup | League of Northern Eurasia was held in Kazan. The following teams from different cities of Russia came to compete for the title of the best PetroCup student team: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Tomsk, Samara, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, etc. The Kazan Federal University team was represented by students from the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, which included representatives of KFU SPE Student Chapter. Graduates of the Master’s program implemented jointly with the Freiberg Mining Academy were awarded diplomas at the IGPT KFU

In the assembly hall of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, a solemn commencement took place for the graduates of the Stratigraphy of Oil and Gas Basins Master's program. This double degree program between KFU and the Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany) has been implemented since 2014. IGPT KFU and CUPET agreed to expand cooperation to increase oil production and ensure complete energy independence of Cuba

On 7th of February, Representatives of Cuba's largest oil company CUPET, Mario Miranda Marquez and Tania Perez Delgado visited the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University. The IGPT KFU was visited by the leadership of the BSU

On December 9, within the framework of a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, a delegation of the Belarusian State University visited the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University. The delegation included Rector of BSU Andrei Korol, Head of the Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Kazan Viktor Shchetko, Vice-Rector for Economics and Material and Technical Development of BSU Mikhail Cherepennikov, Head of the Main Department of Educational Activities of BSU Natalya Morozova and Head of International Relations Department of BSU Alexander Zhuk.
