IGPT KFU was visited by the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan
On November 9, the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University was visited by a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which included the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Kazan Fariddin Nasriev, the first secretary of the Consulate General Azizbek Razakov and the head of the department for the adaptation of foreign students in the Department of Foreign Relations of KFU Rustam Musin.
The purpose of the visit was a meeting with students from Uzbekistan to discuss social and educational issues. It should be noted that 29 students from Uzbekistan study at IGPT, of which 23 are bachelors and 6 are masters.
“We annually visit institutes where citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan study in order to bring them information about the large-scale reforms that are being carried out in Uzbekistan,” says Fariddin Nasriev. – We also tell them about the cooperation of Uzbekistan with the regions of the Russian Federation, including Tatarstan. Despite the post-pandemic period, trade between Uzbekistan and Russia has grown, reaching almost $7 billion. In addition, we maintain friendly relations with KFU. So, recently there was the opening of the first foreign branch of KFU in Jizzakh, where the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was present.”
During the visit to IGPT, members of the delegation met with Deputy Director of IGPT for Marketing, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) Ildus Chukmarov.
The Director of the Center informed the guests about the cooperation of CdoGEO with foreign countries.
“To date, CdoGEO has implemented courses for representatives of 14 foreign countries, such as: Cuba, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia, Uzbekistan, China, Vietnam, Germany, Hungary, Bolivia, Belgium, Indonesia, Serbia,” says Ildus Chukmarov. – In 2021, we trained 4 people from Uzbekistan (GU “IGIRNIGM”, JSC “Uzbekgeofizika”, University of Geological Sciences). This year, representatives of Cuba (CUPET), the Republic of Belarus (UE PO Belorusneft), China (China University of Petroleum (UPC), Qingdao), Kazakhstan (LLP ZamanQuantor) studied at our Center. We implement programs in full-time, part-time, hybrid formats, as well as hold visits to geological sites, customer territories and in the form of individual internships and summer schools.”
The experience of CdоGEO’s work with Cuba aroused great interest among the guests. Ildus Chukmarov said that in 2018-2019 the Center successfully implemented a major contract for the provision of professional development services for 200 managers and specialists. In November, it is planned to hold the third program this year for CUPET specialists together with Bashneftegeofizika JSC.
In addition, the interaction is carried out in the education, research and production areas.
Based on this experience, Ildus Chukmarov proposed to the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to expand cooperation in all three areas.
