KFU trained the specialists of Zarubezhneft in Moscow

The Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of IGPT of  Kazan Federal University provided on-site training for a group of eight managers and specialists of Zarubezhneft  in Moscow. In total, in 2020, more than 100 specialists of the company  are expected to  improve their professional skills at KFU on 11 different advanced training  programs.

“Zarubezhneft and Kazan Federal University have been actively cooperating since 2015. The Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of KFU carries out research work on request of the company, business contracts are being implemented.  In the past year, a really significant event took place – ceremonial launch of the first horizontal well of the Boca de Haruko field in Cuba with the participation of Dmitry Medvedev, the late Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. It is worth saying that in the development of the Cuban horizontal well of the field the technologies  of KFU scientists were  used  ”, said Ildus Chukmarov,  Deputy Director for Marketing of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University and Director of the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing

During five-days course, Nikolay Kuzmichev,  Director of” Oil XXI Century” company and the Center’s partner, told Zarubezhneft employees about enhancement of economic efficiency of mechanized oil production. During the training, such important issues as improvement of  the profitability of the oil business and innovative oil production technologies were also discussed.

“Jointly with the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing of IGPT   we implemented a number of major projects  in Kazan,  Almetyevsk, Moscow and even in Cuba. In December last year, we jointly conducted training upon the “Fully Integrated Well Operation” program for 20 specialists of Cuban  Cupet oil company, based at an enterprise in Havana. And today the courses for Zarubezhneft  have been successfully completed . I hope that we still have many interesting projects ahead at Kazan Federal University, ”Nikolai Kuzmichev shared.

In 2019, Kazan Federal University was visited by a delegation of Zarubezhneft, headed by the General director Sergei Kudryashov, who met with Ilshat Gafurov, the Rector of the University.
